The Academy Awards saw some surprising things last night but the main shocker was that of the ‘Hurt Locker.’  That’s right the ‘Hurt Locker’ saw best film and not ‘Avatar.’  There may actually be some substance to these award shows afterall. 

Tim Burton’s ‘Alice In Wonderland’ conquered the box office by pulling in $116 million!  Johnny Depp is a homerun hitter when it comes to major motion pictures.  ‘Avatar’ finally takes a seat.

“The Tourist” is the next project for Angelina Jolie.  She is looking dazzling on set.

Jane Carrey has given her father funny man Jim the ultimate gift by making him a grandpa.  Jackson Riley Santana has been born into the world of fun & money.  Congrats!

MMA female fighter & (now) actress Gina Carano on the film set of ‘Knockout’ in Spain.

Antonio Banderas and Ewan McGregor are just two of the stars appearing in the film with Gina Carano.

Ryan Phillippe splits with girlfriend Abbie Cornish.  It has been noted that Abbie has moved out of the couple’s Los Angeles home that they have shared.  Ryan, 35, will be seen in the upcoming ‘MacGruber’ film.

‘Clash of the Titans’ looks like the remake may actually be worth watching.  It is due out on April 2nd!

30 Rock star Alec Baldwin was whisked to a Manhattan hospital last night after his daughter thought he was being unresponsive.

The actor and his daughter Ireland Baldwin, 14, apparently had an argument she told 911 operators that her dad threatened to take some pills.

Once authorities and medical personnel arrived on scene, Baldwin was awake and consented to being taken to the hospital for examination. He was brought to Lennox Hill Hospital where he was treated and subsequently released about an hour later.

Baldwin’s publicist has released a public statement calling the whole thing “a misunderstanding on one person’s part.” The statement says that Alec Baldwin is “completely fine and will be at work” on Thursday.

Universal Studios is kicking around the idea of remaking ‘Jaws’ in 3-D.  This is an original that really shouldn’t be messed with in my opinion.  Nonetheless if you want us as fans to take you serious on this issue, don’t start throwing names at us like comedian Tracy Morgan as “Matt Hooper.”  Geez!!!!!!!
